Roman shades are simple and elegant and can fit into any décor. Roman shades are made from a panel of fabric, in which cord is threaded into vertical rows of rings sewn into the rear of the shade. When the cord or chain is pulled, the fabric raises up into evenly spaced pleats. Roman shades are a hand-made, custom product that can be fabricated into various styles. We carry a wide range of fabrics from the most well-known fabric mills; shades can be fabricated from C.O.M. In addition, shades may be lined with a translucent blackout lining.
Flat Roman – A clean and elegant shade that lies completely flat when fully lowered. As the shade is raised, 4-6” pleats form and can be pulled up to the top of the window.
Permanently Pleated Roman or Hobbled Roman – This shade is tailored with permanent pleats 4-6” apart to provide more body than a flat roman. This shade can be raised up to any height.
Relaxed Roman – Typically made without any lining, relaxed Romans provide a casual but elegant look. There is a small gentle scoop at the bottom of the shade that adds to its graceful, casual style.
Adventura Roman – These shades are fabricated similar to flat Romans, however they have a narrow horizontal rod placed 6-8” apart. These rods create a dramatic effect when the shade is either fully lowered or drawn partially up.
